An excellent little pub, good food, good drink and a pretty beer garden and a lovely walk over a bridle path. just remember to take a torch if you’re returning in the dark.
30 minute walk
Turn right out of the site and walk to the top of Blackwell to the A6. Go straight across the A6 and walk up the road opposite until you come to the end. Turn right and then turn left through the gate and walk to the top. Go through the gate and walk along the lane until you see a public footpath on the right (this is the fourth gateway on your right, this is just after the tar macadam road.) Go through this gate and follow the track down all the way to the bottom. The Church Inn is on the right as you enter the village of Chelmorton.
5 minute Drive
Go to the top of Blackwell to the A6 and turn right. Take the next left and follow the signs to Chelmorton. The Pub is at the top of the village opposite the Church.
