If you have read our previous post you will see that we had the plans accepted for our new reception.
Well, it is now all complete!! Yay!
We have been in it now for approx. 10 weeks and we are just about finding where we have put everything during the move and we now have so much more space.We have had lots of great comments on it and we are really pleased.
We are trying to stock more local produce and so far, we have:
- Peak Ales real ale
- Ashover Cider
- Derbyshire Wines
- Wild Olive (Soaps & Gifts)
- Chocolates of the Peak
- Flossy Teacakes greeting cards
- Bakewell Bakery bread and cakes
- New Close Farm Butchers, Sausage, Bacon and Burgers
- Cheshire Cheese and Cheshire Gins (distilled and blended with Buxton Spring Water)
As well as the usual basics that we had before.
We are always on the look out to stock more local produce and always open to ideas and suggestions ?
We also feel we are much busier as people pop in for a browse and a chat more often than they did when we were in our old reception.
There is a lovely grass area outside which has a couple of picnic benches on so you can sit and enjoy an ice cream or a cold beer whilst perusing maps for nearby walks.
Anything else in the pipeline?
Well… we have an area in the back to make in to a kitchen and we would love to offer a take a way food service (Breakfasts in a morning- Themed Evenings- Packed Lunches to take off on your walks etc etc.) Soo, for now… Watch This Space 😀
