Access Statement for Beech Croft Farm Caravan Park,Blackwell-in-the-Peak, Nr Buxton, Derbyshire. SK17 9TQ
Introduction
We are a small, quiet, family-run caravan and camping site located centrally in the Peak District National Park. We are an ideal base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you from John, Julie and Jodie Gregory who run the park alongside their small sheep farm.

- A short walk approx 500 meters to the bus stop, transpeak and other services
- Nearest towns are Buxton and Bakewell approx 6 miles each
- Nearest public house serving meals is appox 2 miles
- We have a shop at reception that sells essentials, including milk, eggs papers etc fresh local produce at high season, local wines, beers and bottled gas
- At reception we hold details of local taxi firms, doctors, vets etc
- On arrival we give out information on the site, important telephone numbers etc
Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
- Follow the signs for parking on arrival and follow the signs down the steep path to reception
Main Entrance, Reception and Ticketing Area
- Reception open seven days a week. If closed ring the door bell or telephone the number on the door
- The shop is at reception and there are two picnic tables & a gazebo located on a grassed area for our visitors
Public Areas – Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc
- Campers Cabin with a hot drink vending machine and Microwave
- Heated toilet shower block with Laundry and disabled facilities
Public WCs
- The toilet block is located on footpaths from the main caravan and camping site.
- It has male and female toilets with two showers in each.
- There are seven WC’s in the female section and four WC’s and three urinals in the male section
- There are four wash basins in the female area and four in the male area with hot and cold water taps
- There is a hand dryer and two soap dispensers in each
- There is a shaver socket in the male area and three 3 pin sockets in the female area
- There is a separate unisex with three showers, two private cubicles for washing, one toilet and one hand dryer
- All areas have a tiled floor, coat hooks and lighting when required
- Disabled area with toilet, wash basin, shower with seat, hand dryer and soap dispenser
Laundry
- Washing up area has four sinks with hot and cold taps, a sink for hand washing clothes.
- There is a washing machine and tumble dryer that requires £1 coins or silver but will not take 50p coins
- There is an iron and ironing board, the iron works with 20p coins
Shop
- We have a shop selling essentials including bottle gas. The shop is licensed & sells local wines & beers. At busy periods the shop has fresh produce
- All prices are displayed
- The shop is in the reception which is situated opposite the facilities block
Outdoor Facilities
- A shop is in the reception, there are two picnic tables & a gazebo located on a grassed area for our visitors.
- A separate play area for 6 years and under and a separate ball field with a small adventure trail, zip wire, basket swing and climbing frame for 7 years and older
Touring Facilities (Holiday Parks)
- All caravan pitches are hard standings with a water tap, 16amp electric hook up, TV aerial socket and WiFi
- There are three camping areas with 40 x 10 amp hook ups. Smart meter card is purchased by cash from the shop/reception and any unused units are refunded at the end of stay
- Cars can be parked by the tents
- All camping areas have a water tap at the entrance to each area
- There is also a water tap outside the toilet block
- There is a dustbin and recycling area outside the washing up room
- There are dustbins at the entrance to pitch numbers 22 to 32
- There are also two dustbin areas, both with recycling on the camp site and one at the main entrance to the Site
- Grey water can be disposed of in the centre of the main caravan site and on the entrance to pitches 22 to 32
- There is a grey waste drive over for Motor homes
- There are two Chemical toilet disposal points, one situated opposite the toilet block and one at the entrance to pitches 22 to 32
- Freezer blocks can be frozen at the pot washing area free of charge
- Dog, boot and bike wash located opposite the toilet/shower block
Additional Information
- Dogs are allowed on site if kept under control and cleaned up after at all times
- We do not allow open camp fires but we do allow barbeques
- We are a family site and do not allow large groups
- No smoking is allowed in the toilet or shower areas and reception/shop
- As we live on site all emergency calls can be made from reception
