Covid Update

Covid 19 Updates – Important so please read

We have been open fully with all facilities since the 17th May 2021

From 19th July 2021 the Government have relaxed restrictions and face masks and social distancing are not compulsory in our shop or facilities, please remember that some of guests will choose to wear them and would prefer to social distance. We ask that all of our guests respect each other’s choices. All of our cleaning regimes will remain and for the time being our signage and screens will stay up.

We must all do what we can to ensure reduction of the risk of infection & continue to move forward.

The team at Beech Croft Farm will be doing more frequent cleaning to our already stringent cleaning regimes- we have also purchased a fog machine for disinfecting, we will do different areas at different times as the room will need 1 hour after the procedure before you will be allowed to enter.

Deep cleans will be taking place throughout the day and additional cleaning will take place on high contact areas, unfortunately we cannot be in the facilities 24 hours a day so therefore we ask that you please clean up after yourselves and leave the toilets in a way you would like to find them. We will provide mop buckets and disposable wipes for your convenience.

We have added signs to remind you of social distancing and added more hand sanitising units around the site including the dustbin areas and play areas.  We will be doing extra rubbish collections.

Please remember that hand washing is one of the most important procedures in reducing the risk of infection.

We have had to complete Risk Assessments to enable us to open safely & below is a list of rules the Government require you to be aware of & we ask that you adhere to whilst on our site to ensure the safety of you, your family, our staff & everyone else.

  • Our toilets & showers are open, the toilets will close between 11am and 1pm each day for deep cleaning. Unisex will be available but there is only one toilet so you may find a queue, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • Children must be supervised at all times whilst on site by a parent/guardian this includes going to the facilities, Shop and the play areas. Parents are responsible for making sure that children respect others wish on social distancing.
  • No group social activities anywhere on site (Government Guidelines)
  • We have two narrow paths on site, we ask that you do not enter these until your exit is clear
  • Hand sanitising stations and hand wash in the facilities are provided but it is advisable to also carry hand sanitiser with you.
  • If you wish to have a contactless check in then we can arrange this over the phone before your arrival.
  • Due to the Government guidelines, day visitors are only allowed if lodged at reception
  • Our chemical toilet disposal will still be available and already has hand sanitiser but we do not have facilities for compost toilet waste so please DO NOT use our Elsan or Motorhome waste for this!
  • You are welcome to visit the shop and reception and social distancing will be in place, there will be signs to give instruction – we have a placed a shield up at the front desk. You are welcome to use cash or card (please note that there is a minimum payment of £2.00 for the card machine.) Please note that you must not handle anything in the shop unless you intend to purchase
  • Tents that require electricity will require to purchase an electricity card as normal, you will still need cash for this.
  • Leaflets- we will still have our leaflets available in our shop for you to take but we do ask that these are not returned for the use of other people.
  • If you or a member of your party becomes symptomatic you should inform Reception (01298 85330), immediately self-isolate where you are to minimise any risk of transmission and request a test.

If you are confirmed to have COVID-19, you should then return home if you reasonably can, using private transport but only driving yourself if you can do so safely. If you cannot reasonably return home (for example because you are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), your circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority.

Other guests in the same accommodation should also self-isolate where they are. If the diagnosis is then confirmed, they should also return home for any remaining part of their 7-day isolation period, subject to being able to do so safely.

  • Please don’t forget your common sense- we all have it somewhere 😀 … we are here to help you enjoy a holiday which we weren’t sure we would get this year, so let’s all work together.

We are sorry that it might sound like a lot of information to take on board but hopefully if we all work in unison; this won’t carry on forever. If there is anything that you think we could be doing that we are not, then please let us know.

Lastly, please be patient with us- as a small family business this is an extremely challenging situation to manage and we are finding our feet, again.

We are overwhelmed by the love & support you have all shown us… THANK YOU!!
